ServiceMonster provides two QuickBooks integration methods to choose from:

Method 1: Use of the Web Connector utility which runs on your QuickBooks computer and communicates directly with ServiceMonster to export invoices and payments from ServiceMonster into your QuickBooks company file.

Method 2: Creation of an .IIF export file which contains your latest ServiceMonster invoices and payments that can be downloaded and imported into QuickBooks using QuickBooks’s .IIF file importer.

Web Connector Overview

What are the features?

• Communicates directly with ServiceMonster to export your invoices and payments into QuickBooks.
• Export customers for exported ServiceMonster invoices and payments into QuickBooks.
• Export invoices and payments from ServiceMonster into QuickBooks.
• Apply exported payments to the exported invoices within QuickBooks.
• Export products & services used on the exported invoices into QuickBooks.
• Export Sale Tax items used on the exported invoices into QuickBooks.

What are the limitations?

• Unable to apply exported payments to invoices in QuickBooks that were not created by the Web Connector utility.
• Unable to apply exported payments to exported invoices that have been overpaid in ServiceMonster. (Payment will export into QuickBooks as an unapplied credit for that customer which can be applied manually to their outstanding invoices)
• Web Connector may not be able to connect to QuickBooks on 64-bit versions of Windows- ask support to assist you if you encounter any trouble.

What are the System Requirements?

• QuickBooks Pro 2005 or newer (QuickBooks Online not supported at this time)
• 32-bit version of Windows XP, Windows Vista,  Windows 7 or  Windows 8 (64-bit sometimes has limitations that QuickBooks will not support, please ask us for assistance)
• Broadband internet connection on the QuickBooks PC (DSL, Cable, etc.)
• Download and installation of the QuickBooks Web Connector Utility on the QuickBooks computer is required.

IIF Export File Method Overview

What are the features?

• Creates an .IIF export file that contains your non-posted ServiceMonster invoices and payments that can be downloaded and imported into QuickBooks using QuickBooks’s .IIF file importer.
• Export customers for exported ServiceMonster invoices and payments into QuickBooks.
• Export invoices and payments from ServiceMonster into QuickBooks.
• Export products & services used on the exported invoices into QuickBooks.
• Export Sale Tax items used on the exported invoices into QuickBooks.

What are the limitations?

• Unable to apply payments to invoices in QuickBooks (Payments are imported as unapplied credits for the customers that must be manually applied to their outstanding invoices)

What are the System Requirements?

• QuickBooks Pro 2003 or newer (QuickBooks Online not supported)
