Sending out transactional emails to your customers is a great way to start the marketing process. By sending out a job confirmation email before the job as well as sending them a copy of their invoice, you familiarize your customers with receiving emails from you. If you decide to take advantage of ServiceMonster’s DIY Marketing feature to send emails, they will be used to seeing emails from you and will more likely open them.
If you are sending out lots of emails, setting up Email Templates are a great way to save some time and have a consistent, professional look.
Here are two examples, one for a job confirmation and one for an invoice, that you can use to get started. The HTML files are included for each template, so feel free to use the code and customize them to your needs.

Job Confirmation
Important elements of a Job Confirmation are:
- Company name and logo
- Date and time
- Location
- Contact information if the customer needs to change the appointment
- Links to your website, review sites or social media sites

Invoice
Importnat elements of an Invoice email are:
- Company name and logo
- Date and time
- Location
- Invoice amount
- Address on where to send payment
- Links to your website, review sites or social media sites
A copy of the invoice is also attached when you send out an email, so you may not need to repeat all the information listed in the email.
